Rural Lifestyle + Property Value.

We want to maintain the rural character of Puslinch.

Rapid elimination of rural lifestyle and potential impact to property values.

Families have settled in this area for a rural lifestyle, which will be eroded from the proposed development and has recently been impacted from the following:

  • Expansion of Guelph's Hanlon Creek Business Park is situated on Puslinch's northern border with the coinciding installation of a berm to the north of Forestell Rd and Sideroad 20N

  • Construction of the Highway 6/Hanlon Expressway Midblock Interchange

    • This will create an access ramp to the Hanlon Expressway behind residential properties on the east side of Sideroad 20N

  • 2022 Official Plan for the County of Wellington has placed lands near Sideroad 20N and Concession 4 as a Regionally Significant Economically Development Study Area

The people who use these roads (i.e., Sideroad 20N, Concession Rd 4, Forestell Rd) are generally the people that live or are supporting the small businesses in the area.

Local businesses include small local farms (such as a Christmas tree farm and the Donkey Sanctuary of Canada), a waste transfer station, a wedding venue, and an at-home nutritional specialist, all which add to the fabric of our community.

Multiple heritage buildings, including century old architectural heritage homes and log cabins, fit the fabric of our rural community, not the headquarters for these international firms.
